Education in Europe
This section of the website is for students around the world who want to study abroad in Europe. Whether you are interested in Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral studies, get the essential information on study opportunities and scholarships in over 30 European countries here!
We will help you to enter the educational institution that you are dreaming about. It will change your whole life.
Advantages and peculiarities of education in Europe
European universities provide a fundamental education: this is both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. That is why graduates of European universities are highly valued in the labor market. Diplomas of European universities are in demand all over the world.
In addition, in European educational institutions provide knowledge that contributes to the development of the individual, expanding outlook and worldview. Having graduated from a European university, a former student does not cease to study: the craving for knowledge, for a new one, is instilled for the rest of his life.
University campuses in Europe, as a rule, are in the most beautiful ancient cities with a rich history and magnificent architecture.
Graduates of European universities have excellent knowledge of one or two foreign languages.
Education in public universities in several European countries - Austria, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Norway, Poland, Finland, France, Czech Republic - is free. Foreign students must pay a fee of 20 to 1000 euros.
Educated in Europe, a foreign student can work (in most countries), get a diploma, and in some cases - find a job after college and apply for a residence permit. In any case, this is a unique cultural experience.
Students have the opportunity to travel to neighboring countries - usually a student visa allows it.
Preparatory courses in Europe
Many foreign applicants entering the European University, first pass preparatory courses. Here they give basic knowledge, they teach the language. Here are some reasons why it is preferable to take a course of preparation before entering the university.
If the applicant is going to enter the budget, you need to know the official language of the country where he is going to study (free education in Europe is possible only in the state language of the country). The language level is confirmed by language certificates: for example, to confirm the knowledge of English, you must pass TOEFL / IELTS to confirm the knowledge of the Spanish - the DELE exam, the French - DELF, etc. Preparatory courses help to improve the level of language skills.
Most European schools accept students only from the age of 18: for school leavers in some countries, this can result in a loss of a full year. The preparatory course has no age restrictions: here you can apply from 16, and from 17 years of age.
In most European countries, a 12-step, and sometimes a 13-step education in the school is accepted. The missing year can be "picked up" in the preparatory course.
The preparatory course is also a good moral preparation before studying at a foreign university.
Combining work and education in Europe
Many countries in Europe provide an opportunity to earn money for foreign students. But it is necessary to understand that full-time and full-time studies at the university are two incompatible things. Foreign students can work a limited amount of time. For example, in Austria, Germany, studying at a university on bachelor's programs, students can work up to 10 hours a week. In some federal states of Germany, foreign students are allowed to work only during the student holidays.
In France, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, foreign students can work up to 20 hours per week. As a rule, students are assigned to junior positions. Of course, with a small amount of employment you can earn a small amount: about 250-400 euros, but these funds can easily cover personal expenses and food expenses. Sometimes foreign students are given the opportunity to earn a specialty: students undergo internships or practices that are part of the training course
